Sarah Palin To Appear On Oprah Winfrey Show
There is double Sarah Palin news today for fans of the former Alaska governor and one-time Republican vice presidential candidate.
Harpo Productions, Oprah Winfrey’s production company announced that Sarah Palin would sit down and appear on the Oprah Winfrey show on Monday, November 16, one day before Ms. Palin’s memoirs hits bookstores. The meeting and televised talk will be the first interview Sarah Palin gives regarding her new book, titled “Going Rogue: An American Life”. It will also be the first meeting between Sarah Palin and Oprah Winfrey.
“Going Rogue: An American Life” is currently number 4 on the Amazon best-seller list.
And in a separate, interesting development, Sarah Palin has joined LinkedIn – and posted her resume online. LinkedIn is a social networking site for professionals, and has over 45 million registered users. Interestingly, Ms. Palin’s url on LinkedIn uses the words “governorpalin”, despite the fact that she is no longer governor of Alaska.
Has Sarah Palin joined LinkedIn as a publicity stunt? Or is she really job hunting? It’s unknown to outsiders. One thing is certain, Ms. Palin seems to be more the maverick than Senator John McCain ever was. And the former Alaska Governor is no stranger to social media. A registered user on Facebook, Sarah Palin recently used the social media outlet to lash out at President Barack Obama’s continued war in Afghanistan.
Speculation continues (and likely will continue) over whether Sarah Palin will seek the Republican nomination for President for the 2012 election. Most bets are that Ms. Palin indeed will seek out the nomination. To increase her chances for success she must remain in the public eye, remain relevant, and perhaps remain even controversial. Whether adored by her followers or hated by her… haters, Sarah Palin seems to understand well that any publicity is good publicity.
